About the event

It looks like the rain will hold off so this is event is ON for April 3.

Due to the popularity of spring "woodcock walks" at Cherokee Marsh, we've added this additional informal, beginner-friendly event.

We'll start by walking the trails to look for migrating ducks, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, and other migrating and overwintering birds. After sunset, we'll gather to listen and watch for the sky dance of American woodcocks and the winnowing calls of Wilson's snipe.

Led by Diane Schwartz of Get Kids Outside and Jan Axelson of the Friends of Cherokee Marsh.

Free event; no registration required.

Meet in the main parking area near the restrooms at the end of the gravel road.
