It’s a glorious time of year for prairie wildflowers. Join naturalist Mary Binkley to look for and learn about the abundant wildflowers in the restored prairies at Cherokee Marsh and the many insects that interact with the flowers.
Bird & Nature Adventures are free, volunteer-led, rain-or-shine events for all ages to learn about nature. No registration is required; all are welcome. Participants are asked to dress appropriately for the weather and the outing. Binoculars and cameras are welcome. No pets are allowed in the conservation park. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Follow N. Sherman Avenue north to the upper parking area at the end of the gravel road.
Mostly level. Mown paths, gravel trails, and metal boardwalks.
These free, all-ages walks take place the first Sunday of EVERY month, year-round, ALWAYS 1:30 pm – 3 pm. Co-sponsored by Madison Parks, Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance, Wild Ones…
