About the event

Volunteer workdays

Help burn piles of brush we cut last winter. No experience needed. Dress for the weather. Wear old clothes, natural fibers (cotton, wool) are best because synthetics can melt. Wear closed-toed footwear and work gloves or borrow gloves from us. Bring drinking water

Meet at Westport Meadows Park, 4338 Beilfuss Drive. Park on street. This park is west of HWY 113 and adjacent to Cherokee Marsh - Mendota Unit. We'll be working in the wooded area to the NE.

Thurs, Dec 11, 9 am - 12 noon. We'll also need a few people to help tend the fires into the afternoon.
