About the event
Summer Bumble: Join Diane Schwartz of "Get Kids Outside" to explore late summer sights and sounds at Cherokee Marsh. We will explore easy nature trails to look for bees and butterflies in the towering native prairie flowers, watch playful squirrels gather acorns and other nuts in the woodland, and listen for the croaking of frogs and buzzing of insects along the wetland boardwalk. Late summer in the marsh can be cooler than the city under the shade of willow in the marsh and oaks in the lowland forest.
Bird & Nature Adventures are free, volunteer-led, rain-or-shine events for all ages to learn about nature. No registration is required; all are welcome. Participants are asked to dress appropriately for the weather and the outing. Binoculars and cameras are welcome. Pets are not allowed in the conservation park. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
