About the event

This workday at Yahara Heights County Park is focused on creating a safe space for women and gender minorities to learn about habitat restoration and make connections together. Join the Dane County Parks Natural Areas staff and Holy Wisdom Monastery staff and volunteers for this joint work day.

We will spend the morning collecting seeds in various habitats—prairie, woodland, and oak savanna on this beautiful site. Seeds are collected to plant and enhance lands in other natural areas for pollinators, wildlife, and land restoration.
