About the event

Where do some wild creatures go when it's cold? Join naturalist Paul Noeldner for a free, fun, educational, family-friendly guided walk to look for and learn about the clever structures and survival strategies of muskrats, squirrels, beavers, and other animals that overwinter in Wisconsin. See http://tinyurl.com/MadisonFUNAdventures for a Trail Map and Fun Facts about Muskrats and other animals and their homes. Bird & Nature Adventures are free, volunteer-led, rain-or-shine events for all ages to learn about nature. No registration is required. Participants are asked to dress appropriately for the weather and the outing. Binoculars and cameras are welcome. Pets are not allowed in the conservation park.

Cherokee Marsh is the largest wetland in Dane County, Wisconsin. The marsh is located just upstream from Lake Mendota, along the Yahara River and Token Creek.
