On this special field trip, join expert Maggie Honig to learn how to identify and document bumblebees and become a volunteer with the Wisconsin Bumble Bee Brigade. We'll start with a half-hour introduction, then will spend about an hour photographing bumblebees in the prairie, followed by a short meetup for final questions and reminders. No experience needed. More about the Wisconsin Bumblebee Brigade.


Meet at the intersection of Caton Ln and Riverview Dr, just off River Rd. Park on street. There are no restrooms at the site. There is a portable toilet at the nearby dog park on Catfish Ct. Dress appropriately for walking off trail through thick prairie plantings. Closed-toe shoes, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, and hat recommended. Bring drinking water. Bring a phone or other came…
