About the event

Paul and Barb Noeldner and Jan Axelson will again be leading the Madison FUN Great Wisconsin Birdathon team.  We decided to shorten "Madison FUN Pedalling Plodding Paddling Prius Pewees Green Team" to just "Madison FUN" but still the Pewees at heart ;)  


Join us for all or any part(s) of the day:


Saturday, April 18, 6:30 am - 8 pm

We'll start by meeting at Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park - North Unit, 6098 N Sherman Ave. Take the gravel road to the parking area by the restrooms at the end.


We usually spend a few hours exploring the shoreline, woods, prairies, and wetlands here and then move on to other nearby locations including Governor's Island, Lake View Hill Park, Cherokee Marsh - South Unit, Token Creek at the Cherokee Marsh Fishery Area, and the Vienna Pothole Wildlife Area north of Waunakee. Cherokee Marsh is the largest wetland in Dane County, Wisconsin. The marsh is located just upstream from Lake Mendota, along the Yahara River and Token Creek.
