Fall 2026 Seed Collection at Westport Prairie

Join Groundswell Conservancy staff for these late afternoon seed-collecting sessions. Groundswell staff will walk guests step by step through collecting and processing prairie seed to plant new prairies. Afterward, we’ll hike out into the prairie to collect seeds for this winter’s prairie planting.

If your mobility is limited, you’re welcome to join us for the first portion and skip the active seed collection.

No restroom on site. No prior experience is needed. All tools and training will be provided. The terrain can be steep/rocky with animal burrows that may be difficult to traverse for some.  More details at the registration link.
