Sun, July 20, 10 am - 1 pm

Meet at 1000 Wheeler Rd, corner of Wheeler Rd and Ilene Ln. Park on the street.

Join the Madison Public Library's Naturalist in Residence and other volunteers in an ecological restoration project at Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park as we help make room for native wildflowers and grasses. You’ll also learn about other ways to nurture nature throughout the Madison area by joining people and organizations who are taking action on behalf of the environment.

Participants will be walking through an open woods and hand pulling or using shovels to remove invasive Japanese hedge parsley plants.Lng pants and sturdy shoes or boots recommended. Bring drinking water. Bring gloves or borrow some from Friends of Cherokee Marsh.

This activity involves walking off trail on uneven ground. No experience needed. Training provided on site. This event will be cancelled if thunderstorms are in the area…
