Dedication of memorial bench for Russ Hefty

Everyone is invited to join family and friends of the late Russ Hefty for a dedication of a memorial bench in his honor. Many Friends of Cherokee Marsh members donated to support the bench at the South Unit of Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park. Russ was the former Madison Parks conservation parks supervisor and a board member of the Friends of Cherokee Marsh.

We will gather at the parking lot at the corner of Wheeler Rd and School Rd, then make the short walk to the bench, which has a view over the park and toward the purple martin colony.  The path is mowed grass and has a very slight upward incline. The address for the park is 802 Wheeler Rd. You may also park along the street.
